New York License Mold Assessor Course - Jan 2024

This 3-day (32 hour) course is designed to prepare the mold professional for licensure in the State of New York in accordance with the New York Labor Law. This class utilizes a variety of interactive training techniques, including demonstrations, discussions, problem-solving, role-playing activities and the use of question and answer techniques between the Instructor and the students.  The student will receive multiple training documents and all the necessary mold assessment templates used by Top Gun Inspection Services Group, Inc. when performing mold assessments.

• Overview of Regulations
• Visual inspections
• Measurement equipment
• Biological sampling strategies
• Best practices for documentation, report writing, field notes, chains of custody 
• Building construction, building sciences, moisture control, water intrusion events 
• Clearance testing and procedures
• Basics of HVAC systems
• Interpreting sampling results / survey protocol
• Writing mold remediation plans
• Post remediation clearance testing
• Technical and legal considerations 

Note: An exam will be given at the end of the course. Following the course, individuals must register with NYS for licensing.
